How to find us From the A1 (south): After the Washington Services, the road divides (A1 to the left, motorway to the right). Bear left on the A1 past the Angel of the North. Shortly after the Metro Centre, take the exit signposted A695 Blaydon. Continue on this road, going straight on at the roundabouts and get into the the right hand lane on the approach to the Scotswood Bridge. When you reach a large roundabout next to McDonalds, take the third exit which is the B6317 to Ryton. Continue on through Ryton until you see the Comprehensive School on your right then look out for the Ryton RFC sign on your left hand side. NOTE: There is often heavy traffic on the A1 past the Metro Centre, which is open seven days a week. Delays can be serious at weekends, especially in the weeks before Christmas, so please allow plenty of time. From the A1 (north): After passing Newcastle, take the exit signposted Blaydon. Take the second exit at the roundabout and turn right over the Scotswood Bridge, keeping in the right hand lane. Follow the long sweeping left hand curve back under the bridge. When you reach a large roundabout next to McDonalds, take the third exit which is the B6317 to Ryton. Continue on through Ryton until you see the Thorp Academy School on your right then look out for the Ryton RFC sign on your left hand side.
